now the parent in me says "take that off your head russell right now do you hear me", but i am guessing that the non surgical microdermal abrasion treatment needs to be nurtured for it to have effect. wheres the leggo today? i think you have just about cracked the lighting. very little shadow today, top stuff
russell higgs: why is shadow frowned upon? it seems to me that shadow is the body hair of photography. and I can't help thinking that a desire to erase shadows is perhaps symptomatic of a general desire to disown our shadow selves. (Similarly a desire to erase body hair is symptomatic of a general disdain for maturity, aswell as distancing ourselves from our animal selves) Embrace the shadows, I say.

Hmmm! Dr Lecter, but at least you will stay fresh all day today Russell.
russell higgs: I had to keep it dead simple today because I'm expecting a bureaucratic visitor to my flat, anytime between 9 and 4, and it would make things too complicated if I were to answer the door wearing a sainsburies carrier bag, with my face dripping with paint and a selection of teabags taped over my eyes.

russell i agree about embracing the shadow. I am errant in suggesting the shadow be gone but i feel that in some situations the lack of shadow highlights the perceived self as opposed to the real self. i don't what to disown my shadow self. will go back and sit in the corner now.

russell higgs: I wasn't having a go at you specifically. You just happened to be the next person to mention shadows and I had a whole shadow rant waiting inside me ready to pounce.

russell higgs: Hey, lovely to hear from you.

Clingfilm ......its cheap, its plentiful and it clings all by itself.

Maybe we'll meet up next time I'm at Daves. Love to you and Kate,

Russell
