I uploaded A NEW VIDEO yesterday.

I'm still experimenting with switching on the camera, standing in front of it with a fairly empty mind and just seeing what comes out of me in one take. So its another made up song in an unknown language with subtitles.

very bling bling today russell. I had an idea which you may already be using for your shots. Saw it on istockphoto so it was not mine but thought it might be of interest. The writer suggested using a makeup mirror and mounting it on top of the camera to see your own reflection as i don't think your camera has a swivel lcd. will look at your vid later.
russell higgs: for consistency i always aim to include my full shoulder span in this series of portraits, and thats where a swivel lcd would really help.

Theres not really room on my little cam for anything to be mounted on to it though. but thanks for the thought.

Who needs to think outside the box? When we are happy within it!

Just seen the video Russell, very good yet again. Forgive me if you have answered this one before but I think you have a pretty good voice! Do you have a musical background?

Who needs to think outside the box? When we are happy within it! And what Bling! Russell

Just seen the video Russell, very good yet again. Forgive me if you have answered this one before but I think you have a pretty good voice! Do you have a musical background?
russell higgs: a musical background? not really. I don't know why these improvised songs come out in a pseudo operatic manner. I really don't know what notes or sounds I'm going to make until I open my mouth. did you notice the clicking in the background, thats the parrot biting his rope perch.

I did notice the clicking! I thought it was some improvised metronome!

Watch your back Russell, he's trying to muscle in on your art!

russell you need to join a choral society. there are plenty of show tunes you could be belting out. you have some real good natural vibrato/tremolo in your voice. well maybe not show tunes. you video messages/subtitles are very definitive or absolute. is this because you are trying to show a juxtaposition or are they your firm beliefs.
russell higgs: i suppose i have some favourite or favoured beliefs, rather than firm ones. There are particular beliefs and perspectives that stimulate me, or that i find useful. And there are beliefs that i can ally myself with. There are many things that i am open to without identifying myself as a this or a that.
