Once out of nature

I shall never take

My bodily form from any natural thing,

But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make

Of hammered gold and gold enamelling

(....... Yeats, "SAILING TO BYZANTIUM")

Hi Russell.
Are you feeling a bit old/mortal today...or, is the Yeats quote intended as just an augmentation of the gorgeous headgear?

I have a feeling that, as he got on in years, Yeats started to resent the boundaries of his life being marked out by his physical body.

If I understand it correctly, though, you see a way out of this terminal situation in transhumanism? Do you read Robert Silverberg sci fi...in his "Sailing to Byzantium" compilation of novellas, he certainly has some ideas on transhumanism?
