You are making me all nostalgic for butchers paper, Russell.
In Thailand, butchers just fling the purchase directly into a plastic shopping bag.
Really like the vonDaniken space helmet in this image...oh, yeh!...and the clever use of CamelCase.
russell higgs: I don't know when I last visited a butcher. I remember buying some organic wild boar and apple sausages back in the mid-90s, when I was living in Hornsey, North London, and my mum and step-dad were visiting, but can't remember the packaging. My assumption is that it's probably all plastic bags here in London too. But I don't know. I rarely buy meat, even from the supermarket.

Fish and chips is often still wrapped in this kind of paper though.

I don't know what CamelCase is, I'll look it up in a mo. I assume it's a reference to the fridge magnet letters.

The clear round helmet is a hamster module. Have to confess I've never read vonDaniken.
