Yesterday there was a man in the street, just stood in one spot for ages and ages.

I asked him if he needed assistance and he said he had Parkinsons and every now and then his mind just wipes completely.

He was on his way to the bank just across the road. Fuck knows how long he'd already spent just getting as far as that bit of the pavement. I held his hand and assisted him to the bank and then when we were inside he said it was ok to leave him from there on. (In retrospect I wish I'd had the sharpness of mind to ask him if he wanted me to get a member of staff to assist him from there on).

I mean, HOW does he manage generally? Even while holding my hand for that short distance his mind seemed to be wiping out regularly.

He said he'd had Parkinsons for 7 years so far.
